Gelpo s.r.o. was assessed using the EcoVadis and CDP methodologies, which complement each other in their perspective on ESG management and environmental impacts.

In the EcoVadis assessment, the company achieved an overall score of 66/100, corresponding to the Advanced level and placing the company in the 74th percentile, meaning among the top 35 percent of companies assessed in the given sector. The strongest results were achieved in the areas of Ethics (72/100) and Labor and Human Rights (69/100), where well-established policies, internal processes, and practical measures are in place, particularly in occupational health and safety, working conditions, and ethical governance.

The environmental area also achieved a solid score of 66/100, primarily due to implemented measures in waste management, energy efficiency, chemical management, and greenhouse gas emissions reporting. A key area for further development remains Sustainable Procurement (45/100), where there is room for a more systematic approach to supplier engagement, formalization of requirements, and expansion of risk assessments within the supply chain.

Within the CDP assessment, the company participated in the Climate Change module, achieving a score of D (private). This result reflects an early stage of development, particularly in setting climate targets and strategically managing the transition to a low-carbon economy. Positively assessed aspects include participation in CDP itself, reporting of Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, the existence of basic management processes, and partial establishment of governance and energy management.

The lower score is mainly due to the absence of formal emissions reduction targets, a limited range of emission reduction measures, and incomplete coverage of certain aspects of climate risk management. While EcoVadis confirms the overall maturity of the company’s ESG management, CDP provides a detailed view of climate-related data and strategy. The combination of both assessments indicates that the company has well-established sustainability foundations, with the main potential for further improvement lying in climate strategy, quantified targets, and supply chain management.
